A 2k bullet with a tungsten guide wire feels strong, and many aftermarket sights are likely to land farther. Except for the small hidden icons, they are large and not easy to learn.

This is one of the best 9mm pistols out there. There are many, the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but a light, thin, visible full size 9mm Glock 17 Gen 4 with a backstrap like a beavertail is fine because NATO FMJ junk is not good exercise. A practical high-pressure bullet at an affordable price. I usually use a NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21, but this is my 2nd favorite. Haven't tried the Gen 5 yet, I'm generally more comfortable with Gen 4 sized Glocks. A better recoil assembly will help solve any FTE or messy exhaust problems.

Bought very useful without knowing its history. I modified the trigger and striker assembly and added a fiber optic sight to improve the trigger pull. It is 100% reliable! I have had it for about 7 years. Steel coated, factory remanufactured, vintage cartridges - eat it and spit it out! I have a collection of handguns, buy and sell, but keep this one.

I bought my G17, Gen4 to convert to a single action 9mm. I shoot double action .40 cal. The ease and feel of shooting is excellent. It also includes different sized back straps, which is definitely a plus. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid flat face trigger assembly, extended slide release and optic sights. Still, it packs a punch straight out of the box. I have about $900 total invested in this gun and I think it is worth my choice. It fits my hand well, accurate, minimal recoil, trigger pull, quick reset, consistent and reliable. Drawing from the holster is smooth, but not too bulky for concealed carry. Excellent at gun range and used during raids. Recommend this rifle to new or experienced shooters.
The Great Pistol never had recoil and tried to jam at speed shooting 4 18 round clips with jamming and very consistent accuracy.
I have owned a Gen4 Glock 17 for many years and think it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid trigger assembly and fiber optic sights. These options only enhance the capabilities of this pistol. In addition, the large back strap and beaver tail provide a good feel and comfort. Due to the angle and size of the design, a good grip on the draw is comfortable and smooth. Needless to say, this is critical to the speed with which you can get the sight positions to quickly fire at the target. As a service rifle, it is light enough to carry a heavy pistol all day without tiring. Accuracy is better in the field or during tactics. Whether I shoot right-handed or left-handed isn't a problem because it's balanced. Whether it was accurate shooting or rapid fire, I didn't take any damage. All in all, I highly recommend this pistol for home defense, duty, and even competition shooting.
In 2015, my friends and I were in a situation where we didn't have any oil or cleaning supplies, and they weren't going to be coming anytime soon. This being the British Army, we were glad we didn't have to clean our pistols, and the gun wouldn't quit like a two-stroke engine after a few rounds. I got into an up close and personal situation and this thing went on and on. And, for a whole relationship, and more, more, more, more, more, and more, for a whole relationship. To this day, I still dream about this pistol I was given and how it saved my life.

I have owned a Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day I use it on duty for several reasons; Durability, accuracy, versatility, weight, round count, balance, etc. The only changes I made to the pistol were; Pyramid trigger, TruGlo optic sights, stainless steel match recoil spring and grip tab. All these things. Having the "backstrap" option works well for the pistol in my hand. Along with many other handguns, the Glock 17 and Gen 4 are my “go to” handguns and I always feel confident when they are by my side.
I have a G17 2nd gen. It never fails. I switched to a new magazine. The actual magnums begin to detonate. I replaced the springs and replaced the connectors. I've probably put 3,000 rounds through it and would bet my life on it. I have now owned 5 Glocks and never had a problem with any of them.
