Glock 44 Attachments - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone, and thanks for joining us for another addition to TFB's Silencer Saturday, brought to you by our friends at Yankee Hill Machine, makers of silencers, guns and accessories at an affordable price. Last week we talked about suppressing the IWI Galil ACE using the adjustable KNS piston. My conclusion is that if you run a suppressed AK pattern rifle, the KNS piston is a worthwhile investment. I'm rarely really impressed with the performance of guns, but last week I was very pleased with the ACE / KNS combo. Today we get a chance to take a look at the GLOCK 44 suppressed with the Dead Air Mask rimfire silencer. I've been eagerly awaiting my chance to suppress the new GLOCK G44 for a few months, and luckily the barrels arrived just a few hours ago in time for our weekly silencer discussion.
Since it was first announced a few weeks ago, the hive mind of the internet has been abuzz with opinions on GLOCK's latest release - and believe me, I've heard them all. Without detracting from other manufacturers' rimfire models—there are some very good .22LR pistols on the market—the GLOCK 44 fills a void that has always been empty. This pistol has the same dimensions as the most common concealed carry weapon in the world, with the same ergonomics, the same manual of arms and the same classic feel as a GLOCK pistol. All while firing the affordable .22LR cartridge.

With an MSRP of over $400, the GLOCK 44 is a bit more expensive than other market options. Unfortunately, that price does not cover the cost of a threaded barrel, which will be sold as a kit and will likely have a street price of around $125. I hope someday GLOCK will offer a suppressor ready G44 kit that includes a threaded barrel and possibly suppressor enhancement sights for larger diameter cans.
Rail Adapters For Light And Lasers
The GLOCK 44 thread is converted to M9 X .75 metric specification and includes a thread protector and adapter that converts it to standard 1/2 x 28 specification. More complaints arose when the cyber world wants the barrels to be threaded 1/2 x 28 built in. As you can see in the pictures, the G44 cylinder diameter does not support a thread pattern of 1/2 x 28. Also note that the thread adapter does not add much length over the bare metric threads.
If you can style a Glock, you can trade in a threaded barrel. Remember the four main safety rules and, when in doubt, refer to your owner's manual for the official instructions.
The M9 threads are small; the thread guard is almost half the size of a 1/2×28 thread guard.
The threaded barrel of the GLOCK G44 has a clean crown. We'll get to some accuracy comparisons in a later review.
Fab Defense Kpos Scout Conversion Kit For Glock
As mentioned above, the 1/2 x 28 adapter slides over the barrel with an internal shoulder, reducing the amount of extra length over the stock position.
This photo is a little misleading, but the G44 threaded barrel is slightly longer than the standard G44 barrel.
The overall look is clean and sleek. The small barrel diameter reduces the reach of the bore, which allows sights to be used at the height of the stock. Pictured here with the Dead Air Mask .22 silencer.
Since the G44 has only been on the ground for a few hours, please excuse the lack of ammo diversity and silence. I used the CCI pure subsonic and high velocity along with the dead air mask. Both types of weapons ran without fail.
Good Attachments For The Glock 19x Just Recently Bought
The mask is a great satire and works well on the G44. As a host suppressor, the G44 does not disappoint. It feels just like the Gen 5 G19 (albeit a bit lighter) without all the noise and recoil.
Here is a short slow motion video shot at 160 fps. I'll try to get an add-on video for next Saturday,
On this episode of TFBTV @James Reeves brings you a FULL Review of the NEW Glock 44 direct from the Glock Factory in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. Here is the full review session and scope.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone. Thanks for reading TFB and I'll see you back next week for another edition of Silencer Saturday.
